One person is dead following a serious single-vehicle crash on a rural road in the south Waikato.
Police were called to the scene on Smythe Road in Kinleith at around 7.50pm on Friday night.
One person died at the scene and another was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash were underway, police said.
