Erika Fairweather has continued her great form at the World Aquatic Championships in Doha, qualifying fastest for the 200m freestyle final.

Fairweather won New Zealand's first ever world championship title in the 400m freestyle final earlier this week.

The 20-year-old Dunedin star finished second in her heat with a time of 1:57.40 and then recorded 1:55.75 to win her semi-final.

She was 0.29 seconds faster than Siobhan Haughey of Hong Kong with Australia Shayna Jack third quickest.

Her swim also gained her an Olympic qualifying standard.

Eve Thomas finished fourth in the 1500 metre final.

She was 12 seconds behind third.

Lewis Clareburt was third in his semi-final of the 200 butterfly to qualify sixth fastest for the final.
