There have been six new cases of Covid-19 reported in managed isolation facilities in New Zealand today, including one traveller who arrived from Australia.

In a statement the Ministry of Health said there were no new community cases.
The six new coronavirus cases in managed isolation include:
- One who arrived on 8 December from Australia.
- One case who arrived on 8 December from South Africa.
- One person who arrived on 10 December from the United States.
- Two people who arrived on 15 December from the Netherlands, via Qatar and Australia.
- One case which arrived on 15 December from South Africa.
Five of the six new cases are now in the Auckland quarantine facility and one is in quarantine in Christchurch.
There are now 55 active cases and the total number of confirmed cases has now reached 1760.
The Ministry of Health did not update the Covid-19 numbers yesterday, but on Friday there were 10 new cases of Covid-19 in New Zealand in managed isolation.
The New Zealand government today said it is closely monitoring the new Covid-19 cluster in Sydney but that it is too early to say whether that will affect a trans-Tasman bubble.
Yesterday it was revealed that hundreds of defence force workers were exposed to "critical incidents" that required psychological check-ups after working in Managed Isolation and Quarantine facilities.
