In an effort to make your Christmas shopping a little easier, I asked Twitter what techie presents they'd appreciate. Though, it's too late for online ordering, so going to the mall might still be stressful.
Scottevest $2 - $450+ USD + Shipping
Scottevest is amazing. It is clothing that is every tech geek’s dream. Ever had problems trying to carry all your tech gear around? Well Scottevests have specially designed jackets, vests, pants, shirts, tops and hats that can fit your technology gear and even specially designed ways to conceal your cables. They even have RFID blocking wallets to protect your contactless credit cards and passports.
Scottevest is only available via their site but they do have shipping to New Zealand.
Fitbit $99.95 - $199.95 NZD
Fitbit is a range of fitness tech gadgets. Fitbit has a range of three trackers to track all sorts of activities you do during the day or night with their sleep tracker. They even have a wifi smart scales so that you can also track your weight, body fat and BMI. All of this data is captured and presented back to you via their website showing you insights and trends, in what I think is a pleasingly fresh display.
You can purchase fitbit through their NZ store or you can through other technology stores.
Solar Chargers and Dynamo Charging kits $20 - $80
There are those of us who live in dread of our gadgets running out of juice during an emergency. Although you might not necessarily need to pull this out all the time, it is great for peace of mind to keep these tools in your emergency kits or in your purse/bag. You can either look at Solar powered chargers or the Dynamo which will require you to wind the handle. Which seems like a great way to work out your arms at the same time. You can find tools like these through your electronics goods store.
Hopefully this has given you some ideas to purchase gadgets for yourself or others. Thanks to the great twitter peeps who gave me awesome gift suggestions!
