Man hands himself in over Taupō jewellery story robbery

A second person has been arrested after a Taupō jewellery store was robbed this week.

Police said the 36-year-old man handed himself in and was now in custody.

He will appear in Auckland District Court tomorrow morning, on charges including burglary, aggravated assault and use of a firearm.

A 25-year-old man was arrested earlier in the week.

A staff member sustained minor injuries when they chased one of the offenders, tackling him.
