Another charge laid over Whangārei man's death

Another person is facing charges in relation to the death of a man in Whangārei earlier this year, police said on Tuesday.

Bob Kleiman, 56, was found dead at a house in Onerahi on Thursday, 27 October. A 42-year-old man was previously charged with with his murder, and in November pleaded not guilty.

A 32-year-old woman has now been arrested, and will appear in Whangārei District Court on Wednesday charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Earlier this month, police reported the investigation into Kleiman's death had sparked further enquiries, resulting in the seizure of drugs and firearms during. Four people - three men and a woman - were facing a range of drug and firearms charges.

"We would like to thank the community for their assistance throughout this investigation," Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Shane Pilmer said on Tuesday.
