For months there have been complaints of drug shortages at hospitals and clinics around PNG and Sir Puka has repeatedly denied there have been shortages.

But the Post Courier reported Sir Puka is now saying he has directed the Health Department to improve the management of its drug stocks this year.

He said the department is in the process of changing the way it procures, delivers and distributes drugs to health facilities.
