Police have charged a man with murder in relation to the death of a three-month-old baby in Christchurch on 2 January.

A 34-year-old man will appear in Christchurch District Court this afternoon charged with murder.
Police say the family have requested privacy at this time.
Police said they could not provide further detail or comment about the victim as the investigation was ongoing.
