There have been eight new cases in managed isolation reported in the past two days and no new community cases, although there has been one new historical case added to the tally.

In its first statement since Friday, the Health Ministry said the new historical case is a person who is on board a ship that departed New Zealand for Singapore on 7 March.
"The person was screened prior to departure and returned a weak positive test result after the ship departed. The case was suspected to be historical at the time, which is now confirmed by the weak positive test result. Historical cases are not considered to be currently infectious."
There have now been 40 historical cases reported in 2021, out of a total of 286 cases.
The eight new cases in managed isolation came from Pakistan, Qatar, the Philippines, Sweden, India, Ireland and Papua New Guinea.
The total number of active cases in New Zealand is now 58 and the total number of confirmed cases is 2097.
At the last update on Friday the Ministry of Health announced that there were 10 new cases of Covid-19 in managed isolation and quarantine and they were identified in the previous two days.
The seven-day rolling average of new cases detected at the border was four.
There is anticipation that New Zealanders will be told shortly about plans for a trans-Tasman bubble. RNZ understands that a proposal will be discussed by the Cabinet, possibly as soon as tomorrow, and trans-Tasman flights without any quarantine may begin by the end of April.
