The All Blacks will be without gamebreaking Crusaders outside backs Will Jordan and Leicester Fainga'anuku when they play their first test of the year next weekend in Argentina.
Powerful winger Fainga'anuku has been ruled out with a calf injury while speedy fullback Jordan is managing migraine symptoms.
All Blacks coach Ian Foster says Jordan's resting is precautionary, with the 24-year-old having been sidelined for nearly eight months with an inner ear problem before returning to action in May.
Outside back Shaun Stevenson and prop Tevita Mafile'o have joined the 36-man squad as injury cover and will fly out with the squad for Mendoza on Sunday.
