Ngātata Love will be released from prison today after serving less than a year of his original two-and-a-half year sentence.

Love was granted parole in August because of his ill health and his lack of risk to the public.
At a High Court trial last year, the 80-year-old was found to have sold his influence as chair of the iwi organisation, the Wellington Tenths Trust, to a group working on a property development in the capital.
The developers paid $1.5 million to a company run by his late partner Lorraine Skiffington, but most of the money was used to pay down a mortgage on the couple's home.
Earlier this year, Love appealed his original sentence of two-and-a-half year sentence, but the Court of Appeal upheld it.
As part of his bail conditions he is not allowed any contact with the Wellington Tenths Trust.
