Lake Takimoana death: All three accused deny charges

Three men facing charges relating to the death of Nelson man Lake Takimoana have denied the accusations.

Takimoana, 22, died in February after being shot at a Washington Road property.

Emergency services were called to the house but despite receiving CPR Takimoana could not be revived and died at the scene.

Tukotahi King, 30, was charged with murder and Tremain Turfrey-Ross, 24 charged with being party to murder.

Both appeared in the Nelson High Court on Friday and entered not guilty pleas. The case has been set down for a trial next July.

A third man, Alan Norman, 31, was charged with aggravated burglary in relation to the incident and has also pleaded not guilty.
