The director of Customs and Inland Revenue in Vanuatu and his deputy have been suspended by the Public Service Commission without any reason being given.
The Daily Post reports that no information on the suspension of Benjamin Malas and George Pakoa has been released because investigations are still underway.
The Public Service Commission chair, Martin Mahe, has called the allegations made against the two men serious and the findings will be made known soon.
Mr Mahe is now in Luganville with the team investigating the allegations.
