Pipe burst, pavement closed on Brandon Street, Wellington

A burst pipe has left a pool of dirty silty water on a central Wellington footpath.

Wellington Water said crews were investigating what caused the problem on Brandon Street - which had closed a pavement section.

It said it was not sewage water.

The city had ongoing problems with its water infrastructure.
