The Director of Vanuatu's popular theatre company, Wan Smolbag, has been medevacked overseas for treatment after being attacked by three knife-wielding people on Friday night.
Peter Walker, his cousin and her husband, who were visiting from New Zealand, were also seriously injured in the attack, Wan Smolbag's management said in a statement.
All three have been medevacked overseas for treatment through private insurance cover and all three are now in serious but stable medical condition.
The Daily Post newspaper reported Mr Walker his two guests were staying at his family property about 10 kilometres south of Port Vila when they were attacked by the masked group.
After the attack, Mr Walker was able walk to a nearby Vanuatu Mobile Force post to report what had happened and the victims were taken to hospital.
