Fiji's remote western island group of Yasawa is set to receive water from a private barge this week following a drought.
The Fiji Times reports the Divisional Planning Officer for the West, Sitiveni Tavaga, says the barge was to berth in Lautoka yesterday.
It was to be refilled and is due to arrive at the Yasawa group this afternoon.
Last week, Mr Tavaga said about 300,000 litres of water was carted to schools in the Yasawa Group.
All the islands in the group rely on tank water and often face shortages.
