Auckland Rugby Union has confirmed a hearing will take place in two weeks following a brawl at a school match that put a boy in hospital.
The 14-year-old player was knocked unconscious when a fight broke out on the sidelines after the match between Otahuhu College and Tangaroa College last Saturday.
Following a report by the match referee, the union set up an independent judicial committee to oversee a disciplinary hearing on 14 July.
The hearing will include both schools, and will look into why the match was abandoned and what further steps need to be taken.
Counties Manukau police said they were still investigating the incident, and had yet to decide if charges will be laid.
