Armed police have raided a Rangiora property a block away from where the body of a man was found.
Officers were called to an abandoned house on Tyler Street, in Rangiora, about 7.40pm on Monday where the body was found in a vehicle.
A spokesperson said police were carrying out a search at an Andrew Street property, alongside the Armed Offenders Squad.
Police were also appealing for sightings of a white Nissan linked to the suspected homicide in the north Canterbury town.
Police want to hear from anyone who saw a 2000s model white Nissan Fuga between Monday, 10 April and Monday, 17 April.
