Police have given up searching for a Swedish man missing for two weeks near Fox Glacier, on the South Island's West Coast.
Hans Tornmarck went hunting by himself in Karangarua Valley on 12 May and has not been seen since.
The 27-year-old was due to return last week on 17 May.
Inspector Mel Aitken said Mr Tommarck's sleeping bag and tent were found on Saturday, and search and rescue teams have been scanning the area for the past week, but nothing further has been found.
Mr Aitken said the search and rescue teams had to work in extreme conditions, and he was disappointed not to have found Mr Tornmarck.
