Primary school principals who belong to the Educational Institute have settled their pay dispute and voted to accept the most recent Ministry of Education offer.

The deal includes a 6 percent pay rise next month, a 3 percent rise in the middle of next year and a further 1.8 at the end of next year.

There will also be a $4500 lump sum payment.

The agreement boosts the base pay rates of principals of the smallest schools from around $98,000 to $118,000 at the end of next year.

Now only secondary and area school teachers' pay disputes remain unresolved.
