From exotic animals livestreaming from their habitats at the zoo, lockdown litters and makeshift WFH setups, here's some of the best uplifting and fun social media content from day 8 of lockdown.

Orana Park is running a Zoolife camera so people can watch the animals in their enclosures and it's not your regular webcam either, as the audience can control the cameras to explore the enclosures.

It's a paid service run by an overseas company which runs webcams in a variety of zoos, but Orana Park is the only wildlife park in New Zealand running this service.

They also do afternoon Q&A sessions.

Animals you can see at Orana Park include the otters, meerkats, siamang gibbons and rhinos. You can check out the livestreams here.

Meanwhile at Wellington Zoo, Bashii the Sumatran tiger shows us all how we should be treating ourselves during lockdown.

Plenty of us would be better off if we took a leaf out of this kid's book and replaced our phones with something a little less time-consuming during lockdown.

Using their toy phone this young one is getting ready to report these lockdown breaching sheep to the authorities.

Who said working in the media is glamorous, this is Morning Report presenter Corin Dann and his questionable makeshift standing desk where he has been hosting the show during lockdown.

One listener shared the news with RNZ Afternoon's Jesse Mulligan that their Schnauzer had birthed a litter of puppies just days into lockdown.

Finally, here's one last Jacinda Ardern meme for the Black Caps fans out there who simply will not accept the result of the 2019 World Cup Final.
