Several men after been arrested after several properties in Christchurch were shot at and charges are being considered, police say.
Christchurch police raided two properties this morning in relation to a spate of shootings in the city at the weekend.
Four homes in the suburbs of Spreydon, Dallington and Riccarton were shot at in separate incidents between Friday and Saturday.
No one was injured in any of the reported incidents.
Detective senior sergeant Damon Wells said police undertook search warrants at properties in Wigram and Kaiapoi in connection to the weekend's events.
"We would like to send a clear message to the people responsible for this behaviour - we won't tolerate this level of violence in our communities," Detective Senior Sergeant Damon Wells said.
"We are committed to finding these offenders and holding them to account by putting them before the courts."
In an update, police said they had also executed search warrants in Tanner Street, in the suburb of Woolston, and Mathers Road, in Hoon Hay.
Officers were speaking to several people about the shootings and inquiries were ongoing, Wells said.
