Vanuatu's Director of Public Health has confirmed three new cases of dengue fever.
Len Tarivonda says one case was diagnosed in Vila Central Hospital and the other two in Northern District Hospital in Luganville.
Mr Tarivonda says the public is more susceptible to the mosquito borne disease in the rainy season.
He called on people to keep their gardens free of tall grass and to drain any puddles or containers where mosquitos might breed.
Vanuatu's Health Ministry says people should avoid mosquito bites by covering up with long sleeved clothing and by using a mosquito net at night.
