Fiji's Foreign Minister says his country's relationship with New Zealand has never been stronger.
Inia Seruiratu was responding to this week's visit to Fiji by his New Zealand counterpart Winston Peters.
Mr Seruiratu says the personal touch the visit represented has cemented New Zealand's efforts to step up its engagement with Fiji.
"It hasn't always been smooth sailing in that regard but we've drawn a line under our past disagreements," Mr Seruiratu said.
"Today are partnership has never been stronger or more equal and all our citizens stand to benefit from that reality."
