A person has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after a possible shooting in South Auckland.

Emergency services were called to a property in Ōtara just after 3pm
The police found a man at the Billington Avenue address with a serious leg wound.
Cordons are being set up on Billington Avenue and are expected to remain in place this evening while a scene examination is carried out.
If confirmed as a shooting, it will be the latest in a string that have taken place in the suburb over recent months.
