Police have found a vehicle connected to a homicide investigation in Taupō.
Ryan Woodford, who was 30, died at the Adelphi Motel on 6 March.
Detective Sergeant Andy Livingstone said investigators believed Woodford was murdered and that several people were involved.
"There were also others who played a part in other related activities before or after the offence happened.
"These people know who they are and if we haven't spoken to you, it's important you contact us."
They would not disclose any more details about the vehicle, which is being forensically examined, or where it was found.
Livingstone said its discovery was significant.
