A 35-year-old man has been charged with murdering Dunedin man Sean Buis.
Buis was fatally struck by a vehicle on Eglinton Road in the hillside suburb of Mornington on 21 July.
Dunedin police earlier said the investigation found an incident initially occurred at the Unity Park lookout, causing Buis to move towards Eglinton Road where the 28-year-old was struck by a vehicle.
The vehicle then left the scene.
In August police recovered a 2003 red Ford Falcon which had damage consistent with being involved in a crash.
A police spokesperson said a 35-year-old had been arrested and charged and was due to appear in the Dunedin District Court today.
