State Highway One south of Kaikōura is open again, after rockfall and severe weather closed the road earlier this week.

The road between Hundalee and Kaikōura will remain open throughout the day, but will close again after 6pm this evening.
The Transport Agency said parts of the highway have been reduced to one lane and speed restrictions were in place.
Motorists have been told to expect delays, and were also warned the road may have to close earlier, depending on the weather .
State Highway One north of Kaikōura remained closed and the highway between Kaikōura and Clarence was not expected to be completed until the end of this year.
