Police say an aggravated robbery on a Lower Hutt bus has left multiple people injured.

Police were called to the bus on Seaview Road, about 5.20pm on Friday, a spokesperson said.

Six people were taken into custody, including five who would be referred to Youth Services.

One 19-year-old woman faced charges in relation to the incident, and was held custody before appearing at Lower Hutt District Court on Saturday.

Police do not believe any weapons were involved in the incident.
